What beatesreic doesn't like about Pastis:
How can you question a customer when the steak is bad !? And charge on top of it ….typical French attitude of the owner . In general a good restaurant but attitude and how to handle a guest complain needs improvement View all feedback.
Sunday evening in the capital and on the 24th april. while very paris sometimes does not dream of the love, but the decisive round of the presidential election, sits tout berlin on the Italian and gets drunk with overpriced lugana. mais non! in in inconspicuous wildersdorfer residential area is located in the higher parterre this brasserie, recommended by the guide michelin, as it would not look different outside the border. at least in my expectations that are only a few visits. the star is lightly sloppy, but has charme, the mood is too loud for which the parquet floor also offers, but the owner pair probably also comes from the france or its former colonies, is in any case spoken French with each other and also predominantly with the guests. where the hospitable, as I know, is missing, but is kindly transformed into German. if the accent was charming, who knows? I had to ask three times until I knew what was meant a bit. I was asked if the cheater of the bouvet was the answer “No, from the Loire”. yin and yang. when the first bill came by 20.00 clock, a razzia went through the long-drawn dining room, where the tables in the bistro style stand near them in front of the rostrot painted walls. on the white padding of the chairs they sit comfortably. without reservation I had made my luck on Sunday evening, in which did the pastis was largely booked. but in the front space between theke and service station, the young service power put me on an unusually beautiful four table. from there I had the view into the kitchen or through the window on a small improvised terrace for which it was clearly too fresh this time. however: no luck is of duration and so after the curse it turned out that the reservation of three people was not registered at all. I didn't know what was going on with me, but I didn't break up and moved into a catzentisch next to the cashier, from which I could observe the gastric area perfectly, and also good entertainment through the Swabian dame trio, which had tormented with the French nonchalance. Of course, the service was apologised for the provided and served a smooth stroller on the house; later I was allowed to try the aligoté. before the change, I had climbed from the plentiful fresh cut, still crispy baguette. as melodie for the trip to dijon “must” it after the tingling thirst up to 8€ as aperitif naturally a kir (6€, in the original version with white wine. on the front of the welded card the dives were offered; on the back then the drinks with all French usual varieties of panaché and naturally pastis to the sour, recommended for homemade foie gras de canard. the wine selection for this class more than sufficient, with taking some bottles naturally read from French, but not as favorable as I expected. no deviations from the map that can be viewed very well in the network that saves time in the selection; . tags offers did not exist. I have also not missed because on the map many classics from different regions franken lured. to begin I chose the apéritif gourmand with a glass crémant for 21 euro to get a little clear. the “4 creative greetings from the kitchen” emerged as spagel topinam suppbureee, hot, barely bound and both components balanced to taste creamy salads, which could score above all with a pleasant picnic majonäse. the forellenkaviar was somewhat too economical to put salty accents. auberginenmus, who remained tastefully guilty to the announced somego and seemed almost unhealthy. air-dried, probably Spanish ham. average. on the other hand, the reissalat “uncheer” was satisfied with not too dry meat, not too soft mais and especially its sharp curry wort. two parts good, two okay, about creativity they can argue. 3.5 points. instead of a main dish I had beaten twice in the entrées: first I got a very hot, pretty heart-shaped cocotte with express warning of the services. after the ventilating of the lid the spicy scent of the crispy chess cap rose wonderfully into the nose. Among them a kassoulet of jakobsmuschelen (18€ in a white wine with a creamy cream and crabs refined. all ingredients are recognizable and together a perfect preparation “à la Dieppoise”. 5 points to the conclusion there were burgund oeufs en meurette (21€ . two wonderfully viscous eggs (instead of a small card! in a ragoût ham, sweet swollen schalottes and solid champignons swom. very nice also the crispy baked disc pocket. Unfortunately, the too salty ham largely covered the desired red wine taste of the sauce. otherwise a craftsmanship absolutely and tastefully usually successful court. 4.5 points. also the open pinot noir, of course also from the burgund, tasted good, and that was unfortunately already, because the next morning there were requirements for professional training. I would have liked to sleep and drink. almost I would have been weakened if the ritsar disappeared with a huge teller pommes allumettes past me in the direction sumpf. I actually heard the clinker of frit or dreaming of other French regional cuisine? No matter if I look at the map on eager wise, more visits in pastis are anyway inspiring duty!
We‘ve been going to Pastis for years, it’s our favorite restaurant in Berlin. Tried the truffle tagliatelle for the first time today outstanding and perfectly seasoned. The crevettes roses were also a big hit. Overall an excellent lunch as always.
