Contribute FeedbackThis place was good. I had the vegan burrito with a side of quac and chips. I'm looking forward to trying their chicken quesadillas. I really liked their menu and the aesthetic. The two people working were nice, but I asked for salsa and I don't know if they forgot or didn't really care but I never got it and since I was sitting right in front of them it was awkward. It has very minimal seating, so be mindful of that before you place your order! My and my friends almost had to pack it to go.
All summer long I would eat in this tiny Mexican place between the Upper West Side and Harlem. My friends and I worked together everyday as a writing group. At 5:30pm, when each of us had either written two thousand words or was swallowed by self doubt after getting their editor 's feedback, we went there for dinner. I always ordered what was listed as Giant Burrito on the menu. It was pure glory. Getting work done, laughs, food, routine. Now I 'm spending a few weeks in Berlin I 've lived here for ten years before relocating sharing with friends an office in Friedrichshain. So, come lunch time, yelp opens. I saw this burrito place. It has a catchy name No hay español . Fair enough. Let 's check it out. Of course, it 'd be unfair to compare it to my usual place abroad. The friends, the tradition. Nothing can measure up to that. Still, food is food. No reason a burrito can 't be great made and served in Siberia. The space is small and perfectly fine. Typical Friedrichshain style. I ordered a Cactus Burrito. Sounded fun and the ingredients spelled tasty to me. The meal is prepared right there in front of you. I sit down, start eating. The presentation was meager. The, basically, to go burrito is placed on a white plate with a few single chips on the side. I 'd rather get the burrito in my hands than this lackluster, unappetizing presentation. Make it either to go or garnish the plate adequately. The burrito itself was plain and one dimensional. I couldn 't taste any of the initially delicious sounding ingredients. No beans, no salad, no rice. The only thing I could taste was the spicy sauce. And the burrito was largely cold. The rice and meat/cactus should keep the whole thing warm regardless of the salad. They didn 't. Overall a poorly spent 5,90€. I won 't be coming back. For context: this area has long been experiencing a sprout of new food places styled after global trends (vegan, smoothies, burgers, burritos, sushi etc. . Some of them are good, many of them are bad (hello there, yesterday 's pizza. good riddance, smoothies that always are half the size you get at Jamba Juice . As such this one doesn 't stand out. Hopefully, over time, the countless culinary options in this area will elevate the overall quality of said options. Until then, stick to what 's proven and long tested in this price range: kebap, shawarma, or falafel.
The chicken burrito was quite a disappointment no real flavor. Also, if there's any line at all, go somewhere else. Each item is slowly prepared by hand and can take quite some time to deliver.
