Food was good, ordered a club sandwich and fries. Large selection of spirits, good bartender, fast service on the terrace.Smoking lounge available, with a good selection of cigars kept in a fine humidor.Overall a good place for a drink and a bite, especially on a warm summer day, sitting outside. What Ingelore Seitz doesn't like about New York Musik-Cafe:
We were there at 9 pm and the location was very empty. Nice decoration. Waiters are nice and friendly. We had double cheeseburgers for 17,50 euro each but the meat was not tasty and rather kind of chewy. Expensive and rather average! A beer 5 euro! Never payed so much in Berlin. We won't probably return to this place and we can't recommend. View all feedback.

Food was ok staff ok but something not quite right not sure what! Went with a business colleague, would probably not revisit.
When you travel to Germany you take efficiency and competence for granted. If you want to shatter this preception you really ought to visit the NY. In their defence I have to say that we were a group of 16 people, but this doesn't excuse the complete blunder they made of every single order we made. All we wanted was a breakfast before hitting the historic sights of Berlin. After 2 hours we left completey exasperated and shocked. 2 people never got their breakfast, while most of us had to revert after a while to grabbing whatever they came with, despite the fact that it usually wasn't even close to what we had ordered. They insisted on taking the orders for drinks first. After 40 minutes we reminded them of the fact that we wanted to eat, too, which led to a slight panic and the appearance of a new waitress who took the food orders. The only thing, ironically, that was served in promptu, was a club sandwich, which wasn't on the menu and which she had to cheeck with the kitchen first. All other dishes were either not the ones we ordered, delayed or for ever elusive. The only positive thing was the quality of the food, which was surprisingly excellent! The only thing they really tried to get right was to make us pay for everything we received. The reconstruction of what that actually was was threatining to take the rest of the day, so we did a quick check ourselves, paid them 300 euros and left. We were really hoping to get a glimpse of Basil Fawlty to get his autograph, but I guess he was too busy organizing his staff. AVOID!!!
