Due to high ceiling, it became rather hard to hear each other due to the noise of the full restaurant. Friendly service. Salt and pepper to be ground to one's liking in the...table mortar and pestle. Food well plated. My main course was unfortunately fairly cold. Even the plate wasn't pre-warmed. Several plates and bowls had chips in them. The dessert was better than the main. Even warmer!

It was lovely to sit outside, wonderful menu selections, and nice service; I would definitely go back. My German friend said, I don 't know what you 'd call this cuisine and I said, It 's California cuisine auf Deutsch meaning, fresh and/or locally sourced ingredients made into seasonally appropriate dishes with just a little panache, not too contrived. For example, our dessert was a take on the Mozart Kugel which involved chocolate ice cream, marzipan and nougat. Creative! And yummy! Danke schön, bis nächstes Mal!
