What Gerlinde Fuchs doesn't like about La Via Del Muro:
I tried this as it was next to my hotel. The interior setting is lovely and the food is okay. The thing that annoyed me is I ordered the Caprese salad, which is mozzarella , tomato and basil. what I received was no basil but...rocket leaves instead, no explanation. I asked why, apparently the kitchen didnt have an basil. I so feel an Italian restaurant with no fresh basil is like McDonals with no burgers. Its not on. And to palm me off with rocket leaves hoping I wouldnt notice or mention it is downright cheeky. The main course was supposed to be veal saltimbocca but was actually pork. Again, no mention of the 'switch' I just got the feeling the restaurant was just tryng to rip me off, and what spoilt what could be a lovely place as the wine, and food was nice in taste. Service was ok too
