My daughter and... read more As it so happens the Reataurant gets a poor for my review even though I loved the location overlooking the river and the waiting staff charming. My daughter and I went there and fortunately we were able to get an outside table on a very warm evening. We opted for the 5 course meal and sat down at 8.30. By 10.45 we were still waiting for 3 more courses and knocked it on the head and left. The first 2 courses were not great either. Some of the mussels were closed and the broth was watery. The prawn dish was just horrid too. The broccoli in the other starter was beyond al denté! It was tooth breaking! Frankly by the time 10.45 came we were still awaiting 3 more courses and we paid and left at a mouth watering €140 for 2! I admit we had a cocktail each and a bottle of wine but hey that's a lot of money for no food!!! Frankly it's a Poncey restaurant that thinks it's being clever offering East/west menus! Don't bother.

The restaurant is located directly on the spree, the entree is very spree and you are surprised when you find it on the vast area. a top gastronomy would certai... read more The restaurant is located directly on the spree, the entree is very spree and you are surprised when you find it on the vast area. a top gastronomy would certainly not have been looking for here.The casual staff impresses with professional competence, which is positively not forced to be smitten, but very sympathetic.The eating is excellent. you have the choice between two menus that you can combine well and adapt to the respective starving.Good selection of open weine and good wine card.Maybe you should present the wine card at the beginning of the evening with the menu at the same time, then you could even better look for the wine to eat.....The sitting place at the spree with the really rainy one can wait for enough exciting, that is enough in the timing, however, is unfortunately considerable potential for improvement. few places are so charming.

The whole setting feels special and a bit different from the usual spots. The food was incredibly delicious, and the desserts were a real highlight. The lunch menu offers a nice variety, including vegetarian options, which is great. Service was excellent — the staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful throughout. Only small downside: the location is a bit tricky to find and parking nearby is quite limited. But honestly, once you arrive, it’s completely worth it. Went to Holzmarkt for the first time and Katerschmaus was the perfect spot — I’ll definitely be back!
