We had business in Siemensdamme, so going to a restaurant in Spandau was very convenient. It's a bit off the beaten path, but worth the search. The house itself is very quaint, and there is a large outside seating area with a view of the lake at sunset. The food is very, very good, the portions perfect, the prices reasonable, and the service attentive. Michael is a wonderful host, giving this eatery a personal touch.... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Passetto:
The food, ambience and wine were very good but the service was spoiled completely when our guest asked for a glass of water, just tap water. The waitress went into overdrive claiming that they were only here to make money and sell water. Very angrily fetched a glass of water and then systematically kept removing items each time she passed the table, there goes the bread, there goes unfinished wine glass .... View all feedback.
Beautiful that they are back here for us in november! thanks for their engagement! if “even only” is possible from the house. the terrace lets them know that when they pick up the food they feel like always at home! the host is a part of the family in the passetto! in these times not always natural, but with them it is the philosophy that lets the restaurant live! much respect and even more thanks!
Eating is great. service was also super nice and friendly, there were no eternal waiting times and there is beautiful atmosphere. four stars, just because they are no longer in front of the door. that is my only criticism, otherwise a super restaurant.
What an AMAZING experience! Super friendly service (my mother had a wonderful talk about the different Gin Tonic drinks with the waitress ! You can truly feel the family like atmosphere around and it’s quite nostalgic incredibly Italian as well : The processing of our order was super quick and the food was simply fantastic! The view of the river and the harbour made evening we have spent here even more enjoyable!
In the twilight we didn't immediately find the entrance: on the rear side via the terrace. The establishment is not really big either: grosso modo an enlarged living room. Our visit was impromptu and we had made no reservation; nevertheless the welcome was a cosy blanket in spite of my friend's hoody and my jeans. Despite the rush hour we didn't have to wait long for service. Speaking of service: some waitresses execute their work with passion. So friendly, humorous, patient, quick and professional is almost untypical of Berlin. Equally wholehearted was the preparation of our food: the portion of goose for my friend was as liberal as it was tasty. No lack of choice for me as a staunch vegetarian either: the goat's cheese with tomato-ginger chutney (appetizer) was a revelation and the ravioli con zucca e noci melting on the tongue. Choosing tiramisu as a dessert, you can expect a generous portion instead of the usual short supply you get elsewhere in Prussia's capital. The service was efficient without giving us the feeling, they wanted to get rid of us. Just as well: I enjoy lingering in a restaurant. The bill was not exactly hoody jeans, but this is of quite another level than the ordinary pizzeria. I will definitely come back and am already looking forward to a double portion of that ravioli with lake view on the terrace in summer, again with a glass of Latin-American white wine. Drop by in Wilhelmstadt on the Pichelssee.
