Great for breakfast or after dinner coffee. We used this cafe house for breakfast end enjoyed scrambled eggs and eggs and bacon. The fruit salad and yoghurt was also good, plenty of fresh fruit. We also popped in for an after dinner coffee, ameretto and...Baileys. Super service with friendly waiters.
DO NOT GO THERE! ATTENTION PEOLLE DO NOT GO THERE!!!! When I asked if we can get a table for two outside (because the inside was full) the writer (young chubby guy with a beard) gasped and told me only if I have What...the hell?????? He was really unhappy that we wanted a table and order so food....once we got the table few more people fallowed. tables left because the staff didn’t want to serve I had nowhere to go because we had to wait for the hotel room so after min they served pasta that looked like vomit
I've been enjoying Granander since the original iteration. I recently arrived in Berlin early in the morning and started my day with breakfast at Grenander. The first cup of coffee was literally as if it came from heaven perfect, bold, delicious! They know what...they are doing here with the Julius Meinl roast. I find the staff to be friendly and courteous, efficient, but not intrusive. I read a review about bees, yes, beware of ALL outdoor cafes in Germany having, actually, wasps. The great thing about Grenander is that the interior is as lovely as the outdoor cafe, and there are no wasps inside whatsoever.
We ordered the breakfast for two from the menu and were served with a large platter including fruits, cheeses, meats, salmon, juice, eggs, etc. The food was good and the sidewalk dining comfortable, except as soon as our food arrived so did some very...pesky bees that hovered and pestered us throughout the meal, making the experience much less pleasant. For this reason, I may not be inclined to return.
