Food is healthy and many of the meals are quite tasty. They use DPD for delivery, however, and after 6 weeks straight of deliveries not being made and having to chase down the driver who eventually dropped the box outside my building on the street (rather than ring me), they are still using DPD. Having to contact Everdine every single week trying to get my meals delivered is not customer friendly. Not for nothing but if you are having a continuous problem with a service provider, quit giving them your business. Sadly this is what I now have to do, as in I will not be using Everdine anymore. Hopefully they eventually become more customer experience oriented and I can go back to the service.
I got a handful of meals with an introductory offer. Overall wasn't too pleased with them. I think it's a good concept with quality of ingredients, but unfortunately once cooked the majority of the meals were quite stodgy and lacked flavor. Won't be ordering again.
I really like having these meals in the freezer ready to go, when I can’t be bothered to cook, I’m ordering less Uber eats, saving money and eating a reasonably healthy meal. It’s a frozen ready made meal so be realistic with your expectations, but compared to others, way better quality, and better than anything I’ve found at the supermarket. There spicy meals have favour. And there is heaps of different ingredients.
As a new mum and business owner who likes to eat healthily but now incredibly time short, this is such a brilliant solution. I love that if I only have a short break in which to multitask like never before, I can eat a 'treat ' type of meal, with 2-3 of my 5 a day without having to shop, prep and crucially think! Some of the complaints that some of the meals are bland seem unfair, they state they don 't use a lot of salt and they are healthy versions of decadent meals so I feel it helps stop me falling off the wagon. E.g. I had mushroom carbonara today, it included broccolini and kale, buckwheat pasta and with a crack of pepper and some olive oil it was a guilt free, 370 calorie lunch that felt like a treat.
I 'm actually surprised at all the great reviews! I took the intro offer, which I found on Facebook. I got several meals. Maybe there is something wrong with my microwave, but all the meals turned out soggy and flavorless. Sometimes the directions are incomplete, like 'place on a pre-heated baking sheet ' without any temperature indication. Sometimes directions aren 't in the best order (tell me to preheat the oven before telling me to place something on a preheated sheet, for instance). Vegetables are usually grilled and put on the side so they are quite flavourless, when veggies can be so delicious if done right! A nice idea though.
