We celebrated our birthday at the Waldkater. When we, the birthday hosts, arrived, the place was beautifully decorated and everything was ready. The barbecue buffet we ordered was fantastic and varied, very well presented. The service at the grill station, and throughout the entire evening, was exactly what we had hoped for. We were able to simply enjoy the celebration as hosts without having to worry about a thing. We have already recommended the Waldkater to friends and family.

Waldkater and its team are still in the restaurant business, one of the few that puts love and passion into it. They always cater to the guests with attention to detail. Friendly service, a pleasant ambiance, homemade and freshly prepared food, and a wide selection of drinks. As well as constantly changing daily and seasonal specials. There are also themed events (e.g., Father's Day . So it never gets boring for young and old. Cleanliness is also a top priority. That's why I don't understand some of the comments here. If you want cheap, careless, and quick service, you've come to the wrong place. ; Here, passion for service and food, or rather, gastronomy, is still a top priority. Be it in the Waldkater itself or in the food truck, the ice cream van, etc. The prices and wait times are therefore totally fair. Guests are still offered something here. Keep it up.

Inmitten der gastronomischen Sahelzone lädt dieser gemütliche Ort zum Verweilen. Der Wind weht sanft durch die Außenanlage und große Schirme schützen vor Sonnenbrand. Die Speisen (Empfehlung: Flammkuchen in Variationen) schmecken gut und das freundliche Personal ist aufmerksam. In the middle of the gastronomic Sahel zone, this cozy place invites you to linger. The wind blows gently through the outdoor area and large umbrellas protect against sunburn. The food (recommendation: Tarte flambée in variations) tastes good and the friendly staff is attentive.
The offer is really good and there are some healthier things. We had flashcake with salmon. It was delicious and ok for just 10 €. But the children's portion noodles with tomato sauce was an absolute joke. 4,90 € for a mini serving noodles. The cheese had to be paid extra. 2 € for it! A nearly 3-year-old child was not even fed up with it. We had to complain to the waiter and have followed a few noodles again. At least. The toilet container wasn't too doll. The women's toilet is probably built and so there was only one unisex toilet right now. If at 2 cabins at one but not even the door goes right, because you always have the door pawl in your hand, it's not that nice either. Would certainly be fixed quickly with a few small handicraft handles.
The toilet car is full of cult. I know this one from festivals!
We were with our grandchildren lunch on 04.09.22 and had ordered pasta with tomato sauce. After a little 1 hour, I asked about what we haven't been eating yet. The waitress went to ask and says in a little 3 minutes it would be there to eat. It was finally there, but only lukewarm. How can that be? Fez is very good, but with them all work is overwhelmed. LG family tanks.
