a wonderful evening with great food - the menu surprise was the hammer. selected beautiful weine and the price-performance ratio for eating and the wee is also ok. the service was very attentive - no self-evident in berlin! ;-) not to forget the great terrace on the beautiful and quiet Meinkestraße! What User doesn't like about Diekmann:
We booked our reservation at 18.00 and arrived at 18.35. The restaurant canceled our booking because they have 30 minutes cancellation conditions. I am after I booked and confirmed that we were present several times. We asked for our table, but they said that someone made a booking between 18.30 and 18.35, which makes no sense. Wir waren wieder einmal zufrieden. Unsere Gäste, kürzlich aus New York nach Berlin gezogen, waren auch begeistert, vom freundlichen, souveränen Service, den köstlichen Speisefolgen und auch dem Ambiente. Wir kommen bald wieder.
Nach dem Umbau hat das Restaurant sehr viel Charme verloren: Teilung des Raums in zwei Hälften, Abbau eines Teils der alten Kolonialwarenladen-Einrichtung. Bei einem der Gerichte (Mittagsmenu) war Gemüse ziemlich hart und zu sauer (Zitrone). Anderes Gericht und Wein ok.
Nice cosy restaurant, perfectly furbished for offering plenty of options to guests (a range from kaviar to onglet, from eel to chicken). Great wine list, bit upperscaled.
Very good food and excellent service. in any case recommended
