I've known Sỹ An since I lived in Gold Coast, Australia, and now I finally had the chance to visit Berlin and dine at his two restaurants. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Thank you, owner, for the photo!
A small green oasis in the heart of Berlin near Alexanderplatz. The ambiance in the garden is beautiful. Plenty of greenery, cozy, and a real relaxation spot. The cocktail was refreshing, creatively decorated, and a visual and gustatory highlight. I was particularly impressed by the super-thin, crispy spring rolls with noodles, perfectly seasoned and not greasy. And to finish: the sticky rice with mango

I wish I had listened to the negative reviews. This was my second time visiting Chen Che. The food was good, which is why I gave the restaurant another chance, but the service was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in Berlin. Service was extremely slow and inattentive. At one point, a staff member stood next to me on his phone while I repeatedly tried to get his attention for help. The bill also arrived incorrectly and we were overcharged. When I politely questioned it, the staff member immediately dismissed me and insisted the bill was correct. Only after I continued asking him to check again did he admit there had been a mistake. What disappointed me most was the reaction when I calmly gave feedback privately. The older gentleman who appeared to be the manager became defensive, raised his voice, blamed me, and told me to leave instead of addressing the situation professionally. Based on the other reviews here, this unfortunately does not seem uncommon.
I've been coming here for years for their vegetarian lunch. This is the first time I ever came for dinner and was served a meat appatizer after ordering tofu versions of everything. I feel sick and I am disappointed. They made zero effort fix anything and tried to gaslight me saying the meat was noodles until another member of staff came and agreed with me that it was pork. Highly disappointed. If you're vegetarian or vegan BE CAREFUL if you are forced to eat here.
“Go home” — and we left. Never again. We told the waiter twice: my partner has a serious chili allergy. Not an intolerance, not a preference — an allergy. We ordered accordingly. The pad thai arrived with a chili pepper in it. Not hidden, not chopped — whole, visible, in the dish. We pointed it out immediately. The waiter, visibly annoyed, told us it “wasn’t spicy.” I tasted it myself: it was extremely spicy. The owner then came over. We expected an apology. Instead: he insisted the chili was placed “at the top of the dish” and therefore couldn’t be dangerous. Then, faced with our entirely reasonable concern, he raised his voice and told us to leave — his exact words: “go home.” Mistakes happen. An allergy can be miscommunicated, a dish can leave the kitchen incorrectly — it happens. But what is not acceptable is how the situation was handled. When faced with a potentially serious mistake, the professional and human response is simple: apologize, fix it, make sure the customer is safe. Instead: denial, aggression, arrogance. They should also consider themselves lucky: if my partner had eaten that dish, by now the police would probably have shown up at that restaurant — not a review. No apology. No accountability. A disgrace. Stay away. This isn’t about taste — it’s about safety.
Food was good. Restaurant with an unusual ambience. Sit outside to hear the birds singing.
Love the vibe and atmosphere here, relaxing, tropical garden in the middle of the town. My friend and I were looking for a place to have some quick lunch with the authentic flavors and exactly what we wanted. Food look great as well as the tastes. (Sorry, it was too warm we were hungry and thirsty. Didn’t took any pics but my friend did make lots of videos). The Vietnamese coffee with the pandan waffles at the end are just perfect! Thank you…we definitely will be back!

Beautiful restaurant with delicious food and vegetarian vegan options. Atmosphere decor is great, you already feel like on holiday when you arrive. Only the acoustics are inside when it's full, a bit difficult. Service fine and friendly. Food tastes great, is beautifully dressed and its price also value, but the drinks are overpriced, that's just really overpriced! Still always nice to be there again.

Sure, the place looks amazing. But the truth is, when you look closer there is much maintenance to be done. Leaking washing basin in the toilet, door handle...
Good food, friendly staff, but they stopped accepting card payments, and that knocks off one star immediately. The decor is very pretty and it looks so much...
