Wer nicht rechtzeitig da ist, bekommt keinen Platz mehr. Unterhaltung und Spaß pur mit einem Schuss Ehrgeiz.

Nicht allein wegen ihrer Bier- und... read more 1979 gegründet, ist das Celtic Cottage eines der ältesten Irish Pubs in Deutschland – und eines der gemütlichsten in Berlin. Nicht allein wegen ihrer Bier- und der beeindruckenden Whisk(e)y-Auswahl hat sich die alteingesessene Eckkneipe weit über die Grenzen Steglitz’ hinaus einen Namen gemacht. Vor allem die mehr­mals wöchentlich stattfindenden Live Music Acts, Fußball-Liveübertragungen und natürlich das fast schon legendäre montägliche PubQuiz haben dem Celtic berlinweit eine treue Fangemeinde beschert – nicht zuletzt auch, weil der Eintritt immer frei ist.

Ich habe mit einem Kollegen das Celtic Cottage besucht, da wir die umfangreiche Whiskyauswahl schätzen und die Möglichkeit verschieden Whiskyproben (immer 5 Dra... read more Ich habe mit einem Kollegen das Celtic Cottage besucht, da wir die umfangreiche Whiskyauswahl schätzen und die Möglichkeit verschieden Whiskyproben (immer 5 Drams zu unterschiedlichen Themenbereichen) zu einem sehr fairen Preis zu verkosten.Es gibt natürlich auch alles Andere und diverse kleinere Gerichte, die man in einem irischen Pub erwartet (Guiness, Kilkenny, Salt- & Vinegar Chips usw.). Das Ambiente ist auch toll, sodass wir dort einen schönen Abend verbracht haben. Das Personal könnte etwas aufmerksamer sein, sonst war aber alles toll.Da es dort immer sehr voll ist und die Terrasse um 22 Uhr geräumt wird, sollte man sich rechtzeitig um einen Sitzplatz bemühen.

Then we... read more We were there like 23:00 and at the beginning the waitress was really impatient and said we must sit inside and if there was not place inside thats so. Then we enter and discovered that its another area with another waitress apparently, and there we find a place to sit. For our surprise the same waitress was there to attend us. We ordered from the QR code from the table I payed with Apple Pay (my advice dont use this option). The guy said that our payment with Apple Pay was not processed, in our bank account was there payed. And at the end he insisted at the door because he said we had and amount to pay. And now I have two debits at the same amount in our bank account, need to wait 10 days to be sure that its not double payed and negative recommendation for this place, because I am 36 and after all this years I think when I came out on a Friday night I need to have at least respect in the places that I went to. Anyway I think its so much stress for a really normal and bot so special irish pub in Berlin when you can go to a lot of other nice places and have fun without the sarcasm and rudeness like this place.
