I love Cafe Casero. It's a wonderful place to have a cup of coffee, enjoy a delicious dessert or eat a savory breakfast. It's especially enjoyable during the summer when you can sit outside on the sidewalk under the trees. It's only a block off Simon-Dach Str., yet it feels like a world away from the tiresome, "hip" Friedrichshain scene. There are few of the posing hipsters here, yet the place is cool. Cafe Casero has free Wifi, and very friendly service. It's one of my personal favorites.
Not a hipster place, but rather quite expensive and they get a bucking food for what they pay. it's just a small caffe with few employees, so it can take a little while until you eat is prepared, but if they are not in a hurry and have the opportunity to sit outside in nice weather, it is very pleasant. order muesli € 3,50 bargain) and amsterdam breakfast with lots of cheese.
Delicious ommeletes, waning, fresh fruit and vegetables, juicy juices, we had about 5 times breakfast here and it was always a good opportunity to start the day. the place is quiet and beautiful, the prices are good and the personal speaks well English and Spanish. it brings me very ggod memories in the senses.
Good coffee, fresh mint tea excellent home-made apple and poppyseed cake. Comfortable sofas, family-friendly.
This is a very lovely café just off Boxhagener Platz. We used to go there a lot until they started charging a lot for extras like butter for your bread on the side of soup (shouldn't that come with it anyway? . The homemade soups are...great but little things like that are off-putting and seem a bit mean- especially when the prices weren't low to begin with.
