We came here because it was close to our hotel and my wife liked the collaboration with jacques brel. had been sitting inside (they must book early in berlin or come to places to get a table out during a heatwave) so a bit hot. limited evening ticket with very few appetizers, so only main dishes. I had Merguez sausage and pommes, which was very beautiful. Woman had bleeding and tearing that looked even better. everyone costs about 13 euro. the service was very slow and we had to give up the idea of dessert (there were only a few possibilities anyway) and go to cash and pay. a waiter with another one who came back and forth behind the bar. the piano player came in - very nice. this would be a good place to drink for one or two hours, but in one evening it is not really a restaurant. it's a pub that makes eating.
I used to work near the brel and it was always (at least since 2013) one of my favorite places around the savignyplatz. in the summer you could just go there, sit outside and drink wine. Now, today was a summer day, we sat outside, the weather was perfect and the service was just terrible. eating was still good and the atmosphere is nice, but 15 minutes to wait for menus to have a waiter, that avoids eye contact and / or "please / thank" says, and getting dirty cutlery is simply not an excuse. I hope they will change again the better - this place was first class
Very average coffee and every cheesecake. surely the device is beautiful, but for a good coffee it must go its way! !
Frozen legs (if there is this grade) snails, bleeding with kartoffelbrei, mush with pommes, oysters. I could just put myself in! great operation, discreet, atmosphere pleasant. always happy again!
