Bonaza is voted the best cafe and coffee roaster in Germany last year and definitely worth the visit! The coffee was so good with strong fruity flavour with rich aftertaste! The pastries were good to have as well! They have various store across Berlin and all of them offering the best coffee! View all feedback.
What j doesn't like about Bonanza Coffee Roasters:
The space is absolutely incredible! High ceilings and lots of plants feels very refreshing! But it is really overcrowded inside, and the tables are super close to each other so that you barely can walk between them. Also the service was not any good. We came for filtered coffee, and they didn’t propose any beans options to choose from View all feedback.
I ordered a cappuccino. It had hardly any milk foam as you can see in the picture. A cappuccino should be three equal parts espresso, steamed milk and foam. A latte is two parts steamed milk to one part espresso. I felt like I was drinking latte, not a cappuccino. Having said that, had I ordered a latte, I’d be more than satisfied but I ordered a cappuccino. I ordered a chocolate croissant pastry with my coffee and it was a delight. Beautiful light layers and very high quality chocolate bits inside. Get yourself this pastry it’s totally worth it.
I think this beautiful place should sharpen its profile. Its 1. Too big and too understaffed to create a specialty house atmosphere. 2. Too specialty oriented for a date cafe (coffee too sour, too expensive, too long wait, ... 3. Too culinary for a work, study, read space (no wifi, no power plugs, ... I really enjoyed the filter tasting great idea, delicious cups, wonderful selection, nicely curated! The service however was awkward. I had to waddle from my place to the bar and back for every coffee, some lack luster presentation of the coffee and back to the table.... Either they go down the specialty route (more staff, comfier seating, more info, more events etc. or the copenhagen coffee labs route: more conventional tastes, a working area, more food, more streamlimed. Lastly: guys if you sell 100€/kg espresso: make sure the batches were roasted recently and not a couple of months prior. Give more info, tell a story explain who this is for.

The coffee tastes good. It's just disappointing that my own To-go cup is not accepted, so I had to put the paper cup in my own...
