Was Sofia Hall at Bavarian a mag?
Classic Bavarian fare in the Europa Centre. Don’t expect fine dining, but the food, beer and service are very good. Large roomy restaurant with plenty of tables, both private and also more open. Fake windows look out onto scenes reminiscent of the Sound of Music....You can get a good meal, good beer quickly and without fuss and at a good price. I wouldn’t’t suggest this place for romantic or intimate meals but that s... View all feedback.
What Ruth Carter dislikes about Bavarian:
3. dinner in bavarium in the basement of the europa center. the place is pretty, the dishes are plentiful. point: in a roasted haxe should be the skin crispy and edible. on our table it looked more like dry, hard tar! the herb looked like a compot. I can hardly understand the positive reviews, probably these people have not discovered anything else? from the 4 restaurants where we had eaten during our berlin holiday, however, this was by far the most expensive!I will go back to bayern, but only to a beer.
The bavarium is Bavarian and sprays an ambiente, which is actually only known from the bierbrauhaus from Munich. Of course, the foods are mostly Bavarian. that doesn't play a role because there's something for everyone. the menu is very detailed, but still clear. the foods are fast and freshly prepared and taste really good, that I have at least found. there are also vegetarian dishes offered. the service is beautiful and very helpful. the bavarium makes a clean and well maintained impression. they feel right there in this restaurant. when they visit berlin, they must visit this restaurant. because it connects berliner flyer and Bavarian environment. the restaurant can only be really recommended.
Lots of wood, blue and white, everything is very Bavarian and they really think that they land from one moment on the other in bayern.
We wanted to eat something else in the opposite. ask first if they can eat gluten-free and there was no problem they immediately knew. this should be normal, but is often not the case. the portions were ok, not huge, but also not small. for that the chef was absolutely not in love. for he has not salted or even seasoned anything. neither with my friend nor with me was a bit in vain. the flesh was super delicate and everything else looked good, but without taste except her own. I've never eaten so much salt and pepper. therefore only for people who want to plant themselves with a pepper and salt in an old rustic atmosphere.
The food was great! The service was great. Everyone working made me feel welcoming and provided suggestions from the menu. The Apple strudel is amazing...
