I went to this bar with some friends, the place is nice but we had a bad surprise at the end of the night. We were going to pay but we noticed a mistake on the bill: the jägermeister costed 6€ but in the menù it costed 5€ (already an high price I would say) so we informed the waitress about the mistake. She said that her colleague had given us more jägermeister and that's why they charged one euro for each of us (What a cheek!!! She should have just apologize instead of lying). We were so surprised, we said something like "oh this is so weird" so she probably was afraid that we could have complained so she literally THREW US 1EURO while ripping the bill and then said "so you want 1 euro back right?" making us feel like we were poor homeless asking for charity. I have never been treated so rude in a bar, customers have always to be well treated and respected, especially if they are paying you money for a service! It's not about the price but about the rudeness of the employees. I will never go back to Le bateau Ivre.
But actually, it turned out to be a good little bar! Drinks were affordable and tasted good. We had a few dark & stormy's... Service was friendly. They were playing Tom Waits over the speakers - it had a nice vibe to it!
Great gin tonic, friendly service and a great place to hang out with friends and discuss about the next stop.
Spent New Years Eve here and the locals and the staff were very welcoming and great fun. Nice to see a less touristy side of Berlin. Would definitely recommend.
