We loved eating here and can't wait to go back. We were spoilt for choice on the menu (also with many gluten-free options) and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. You clearly don't need fish for great sushi. The cocktails were tasty too. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Secret Garden:
it has tried a lot of things and they all tasted amazing! the place was sweet, but they all looked super confused. it generally looked clean, but I found haare in one of the rolls so idyk what to think. the waitress asked us if we wanted to type before we even had the chance to say that we wanted what I think is somehow rude and can people feel uncomfortable if they don't have enough money. I wish I had more to say,... View all feedback.
Located on the second floor above the Veganz shop. Very originally designed. The food was delicious, presented in a fantastic way. Also the smoothie I had was amazing. The only minus was the attitude of one waiter, that appeard to be unfriendly and more busy with his mobilephone that with his work. However this place is located in a very busy and touristic area so maybe that affects the workers also. Would definitely come back to check out other things on the menu and see if the service improved. Ps. I reccomend to make a reservation because it might be hard to get a table without it.
The sushi at this restaurant was truly excellent. There was a wide variety to choose from and the flavors were very sophisticated. The presentation was beautiful and the service was friendly. The cocktails and lemonades were refreshing and innovative. While the dessert was good, it didn't quite impress. The crème brulée was a bit too firm and lacked flavor. The chocolate mousse was tasty, but contained chunks of chocolate.
Compared to American vegan sushi, it felt like the veggies were the star of the rolls. I don’t love cream cheese and mayo in sushi so this was much appreciated. The Envious Hannya roll was my favorite but the dumplings were also quite good. I would have liked some spicier options.
If I could only eat vegan sushi at Secret Garden for the rest of my life, I would die contentedly.
A busy restaurant, reservations are recommended! It was busy and that's always a good sign. Although they have main courses, like noodles, it's more than okay to just order sushi, which we did. We had a sharing plate and every sushi order (as far as we could see) came with a pot of fancy smoke (harmless and it doesn't affect the taste). The sushi itself was also very good. The sharing plate was 38€ in total for two persons, which was cheaper than we're used to in the Netherlands. The dessert was also good. I've read some comments on unfriendly staff. Although they were busy, they weren't unfriendly to us.
