This place is so beautiful, it is like a small oasis of green in the city and eating was very good. it changes daily, but we had the vegan burger. from brot to sauce everything was homemade. besidesalat came from the garden. we also had the mandelkuchen and reispudding, both very good. we went to the first time in the night and they run out of the food. it was still nice to have a drink. for the second time we went there at lunchtime. So I have to commit to going there early.
Even if they are not hungry, they should definitely make a way to visit this place. it is a community garden operated by volunteers and they can see at each aspekt that they put all their love and passion in this project. locals can rent a garden bed to grow their vegetables, but they also offer sweet and crumbled in community beds for sale. they also make beautiful drinks (try their lemonade and small dishes from the things they grow. they can sit in the garden while enjoying their meal or drinks. the price system is a solidarity: they pay less if they don't have much money, they pay more if they want to support the place and the price system!
When they are around, they think they are a coffee, cake or a smaller snack or veggie burger and look around the community garden. it is one of the alternative locations in berlin:
Seriously, I drove past this place so often, without even considering that this little green paradisia would be hidden right around the corner. there are cooking classes and a small caffe, where they serve salate, which they can prepare completely from the plants and salads they grow in the garden. I'd go back there if I happened to be in the opposite and would escape a pretty place for a dae.
I spent a relaxed summer evening here chilling at the cafe wandering around the raised beds. I had cake (all the cakes were vegan on that day) and lentil soup, both of which were good.
