A wonderful place to start the New Year peacefully with your older dog, away from all the unnecessary fireworks. Of course, there are occasional fireworks in the distance, so it's not suitable for dogs prone to panic. It's actually a bit of a hidden gem and shouldn't be so widely publicized, but that wouldn't be fair to this lovely, family-run hotel. Yes, I was initially surprised by the thin walls in the annex and the decor, as I'm used to something different in this price range. But after three days, I have to admit it's perfect as it is. You simply feel right at home here, the bed is comfortable, I slept very well, and I'm looking forward to three more days. The breakfast and service are outstanding. You're always treated warmly and courteously, and they're happy to accommodate guests' requests. Unfortunately, I didn't get to try the restaurant, but we'll definitely do that next time!
No overnight stay. However, this hotel boasts a highly recommended restaurant with upscale cuisine. It's a place where you can feel comfortable and well taken care of. The ambiance exudes charm and hospitality, and the kitchen team clearly enjoys preparing delicious food. All dishes are freshly prepared down to the last detail and beautifully presented. They are also happy to accommodate special requests. The soups as starters are exceptional. For the main course, we have rarely eaten such a delicious roast goose. The cordon bleu was also impressive, though the price was a bit steep. The seasonal specials alone make it worth a visit. The prices are on the higher end, but the quality justifies them, with only a few minor exceptions.
I visited this beautifully situated restaurant, which is being reviewed here, with friends who wanted to try the roast goose leg. It was clear from the start that this wouldn't be a cheap outing. At €46.00, I would still consider the roast goose leg reasonable, especially since it was a generous portion. My cordon bleu for €35.00 (in words: thirty-five!! was not good value for money. Small, rectangular, and flat, with a few fries and salad. Hence, only 3 stars in the review.
