Loved it. Loved the beers (great selection), the food and the general vibe. Not quite bar, not quite restaurant a nice place inbetween. Meatballs were really good. I walked in and sat at bar but they were busy so I could see if you wanted a table you would need to book in advance.
Delicious local slow cooked food. We tryed the smoked halibut, the fish soup and beer braised pork cheeks. Big dishes. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend it !
Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we are glad it did. We had the beetroot soup and the deer casserole and it was really tasty. The prices were reasonable for Norway I guess for us as Germans it was quite pricey.
On a trip to Bergen looking for some local food and found this Restaurant. Great food with good atmosphere if you are looking for Norwegian flavours.
After reading reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to book dinner at this restaurant during a recent trip to Bergen, and it turned out to be a hidden gem. I had the lapskaus starter followed by meatballs for my main course, while my wife had the onion soup starter and plukkfish for her main. All the dishes were hearty, clearly homemade, and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised as my wife is very picky about eating soup and fish, but she enjoyed both and cleaned her plates. The atmosphere was lovely, reminiscent of a neighborhood establishment. The dining room felt like being in someone's cozy living room, and the food and service were excellent. We returned a couple of days later for a drink and found the same relaxed vibe. We highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return if we go back to Bergen. We loved it.
