The staff at my hote... read more On a rainy evening, I was delayed for my reservation due to a long meeting. It was my first time in Bergen and I had to walk from my hotel. The staff at my hotel was able to change my reservation to a later time, and when I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. The 11-course tasting menu was delicious and beautifully prepared, with incredibly fresh seafood. The staff recommended some wines to pair with the dishes, and I had a fantastic time.

The tasting menu featured delicious dishes made with mostly local seafood, and I particularly enjoyed the scallops. The service was excellent - the staff were very friendly and provided thorough descriptions of each dish.

The restaurant definitely deserves its Michelin star. The food and service were excellent and staff friendly. The wine list is staggering, especially for wines from the Jura. They were appropriately priced. We had eaten at Maaemo in Oslo the night before and I preferred the dinner in Bergen.

Each of the dishes in the ten-course meal was fascinating in its own way, and we enjoyed the descriptions the waiter gave us of each one. The food and service were impeccable. However, the chairs were super uncomfortable, especially the benches. Since the dinner lasts about 3 hours, it's a long time to sit in uncomfortable chairs. Please consider changing your seating to fit the otherwise high quality of the restaurant! Also, the music didn't seem to fit the rest of the experience. I get that they were probably trying to be hip and edgy, but I would have preferred quiet classical music. Overall, though, a great experience!
