His Michelin star is deserved. the food tasting menu is delicious and creatiw. the wine list is solid, somewhat overpriced. the food service is artistic, rather slow, but the wine service is chaotic and not well organized. the common impression is positiw. according to my opinion, the restaurant is a good option of high-end cuisine in bergen.
Best restaurant experience in bergen, very disgusting from his star. we ordered the complete tasting menu that started in the bar where we included some interesting and creative cocktails. while we were sitting in the bar, we served a fair amount of snacks, but they were sold as snacks, they were a-bite teller of amazingly prepared eating to really put the mood for the evening. after the snacks, we were brought to the Es-Spaneel for the rest of the service. we decided not to go for wine tasting, so we ordered from the impressive wine menu that covers all price classes that they would expect from a Norwegian restaurant that is really nice to see from a restaurant of this kaliber. all dishes served were of excellent quality and presentation. the servier sizes were naturally small, but there were a total of 12 courses, and we all felt full and happy. service was very good, attentive, but not transferred and the waiters all had a good feeling of humor. an expensive evening, but I think what we paid was reflected in the quality of the experience. can't wait to go back.
Awesome food and a more casual setting makes for a comfortable experience. Will say one of the places where you will feel very full walking out of the restaurant
A local favorite due to the great quality, traditional dishes with a moderen touch and a super team behind it. Go visit, and then returen again and again for amazing food.
