The food(chicken) taste was good but a little bit sour for me and the bread and butter were served by the time I finished eating main dish so I couldn’t eat much because I was already full.

It was a dark and stormy night... we... read more We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel concierge in Bergen for traditional food, so naturally we reserved a spot! It was a dark and stormy night... well, a rainy evening ... we did have a difficult time finding the restaurant as it is a few steps down in a large building. Totally worth it! We had a table for two reserved in a cozy corner. Our waiter gave us clear descriptions of every item on the menu and recommended some things based on our preferences. Let 's just say... food was ah-may-zing! We had pukkafisk (prolly butchered that spelling)... a mix of fish pieces, mashed potatoes and leeks..delish. We also had the beef/beef stew, flank steak (came wine fried kale and onions) and bread and butter... not just any butter mind you... it was ham hock butter . We will surely be back if ever in Bergen. Thank you for a lovely experience!
