La Fiaschetteria in my own words… Gianni was nice enough to open his doors to me and my wife when we walked in without a reservation. First thing you have to know is that Gianni dropped everything to start his own restaurant 8 years ago, this is his passion. He cooks for his entire restaurant and sources every ingredient himself. His French Alpes/Italian origins justifies the care that he puts into all of the ingredients that he sources to make some delicious, authentic and very affordable meals. We had a great plate of cheese and meats along with some great wine (all locally sourced). Not only was it delicious, but if you take the time to ask, he will gladly tell you about the care and passion that goes into his dishes. Out of my two-week trip in Northern Italy, La Fiaschetteria is the only dinner I’ve taken the time to review. I look forward to coming back asap. Trust him with the wine pairing for your food! Lovely service and food! A must visit in Bergamo. Unforgettable dinner, and the most passionate owner, who provided great service, which concluded in an evening, that will not be forgotten.
