Balzer - Bergamo

Bar in a pleasant position with a wide selection of gin. Unfortunately in the evening they do not provide everything indicated to the menu, which is a sin especially for ice creams in the cup. the service is of good level is the cocktails perhaps a little bit unbalanced towards alcohol, but reasonable. Finally the glass is not full of crushed ice.

Located in the beautiful historic centre of Piacenza of low city overlooking the path

Nice place, located in the low town. welcomed with courtesy, after the control of the green pass, we were made to sit on the first floor. varied list, good service, dogs welcomed without problems. toilettes a little neglected.

Do not visit this restaurant/bar because the service is shocking. We were ignored by staff, I finally had to get up to ask if someone would take our order. Twice. The waiter who took our order for food AND drinks said the food would be 20 minutes. 30 minutes later no drinks and no food so we asked if we could have our drinks. The waitress asked what we would like to order. We ordered 30 minutes ago. To cut a long story short after one hour still no drinks and no food so we left. AND it wasn't even that busy. This was our second visit to Balzar and the same thing happened the first time. It's a nice venue but there are plenty of other bars and restaurants in Bergamo which have much better service.

Terrible service , slow and disinterested . The food was mediocre at best , the toasted sandwiches burnt with evidence of burnt bread scraped off , the salads poor Caesar salad with no Caesar dressing and vastly overpriced. The toilets were filthy , mens toilet was blocked but nobody bothered to put a „ out of service“ sign up, and the bin for hand towels was overflowing onto the floor looked like it hadn’t been emptied all day . Worse yet , when I highlighted the poor state of the bathroom to the waitress she shrugged … so disappointed as we have had superb food , wine and service everywhere else in the region.
