Went here with friends. Very large range on menu of Japanese dishes. Help yourself to water in fridge. Food very good. Service a bit off, one order very slow to arrive. Maybe a bad night for staff. View all feedback.
What Wade B doesn't like about buen 151a:
Got some takeaway here tonight. Had the Pork Katsu Curry with Chicken Karrage. I think the pork was store brought and pre-crumbed. Would be nice for an authentic restaurant to do their own. After eating curry in Japan for 6 weeks just recently, I must say the curry was way to spicy and hot. The heat was overpowering, not the nice mild flavourful curry I am used to. The Karrage was nice. Pricing was good and the food... View all feedback.
I have been a fan of this restaurant since it was known as Fuji's. The flavors and presentation are just as outstanding as they are in Japan. The traditional Japanese food here is perfect. My only suggestion would be to have one staff member focus solely on serving the customers in the dining area, while the other handles orders from UberEats. At times, it can feel like the in-house diners are not the main priority. Despite that, this is one of the top Japanese restaurants in Perth.
I think the restaurant is like a home in the middle of Japan, is very homemade food like grandmothers style, the price is very good and the Bento Box was very nice. Sushi has the proper size so you can eat it in one bite.
Fresh yummy and friendly service. PLEASE JOIN UBER EATS!
I absolutely adore this hidden gem in the suburbs. The food is exceptional, with everything being incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked – whether it's crispy or soft, it hits the mark. The service from the wait staff is also top-notch. Even though not all dishes may come out simultaneously, the affordable prices for such delicious meals make it a non-issue. We've visited this restaurant three times in the past three months (as of September 2019) and each time has been wonderful. Ignore any negative reviews regarding minor issues like a waitress holding a hot bowl of broth at the table – the overall dining experience is truly fantastic.
Sunday evening, a group of friends decided to go check out this restaurant in St James. The staffs were very welcoming, and the service is excellent; also, the price is very reasonable. We ordered for entree Fried oysters, Ika Karage, Gyu tataki, Scallop, Takoyaki, Saba Sioyaki, Tori Karage and Yasai Itame. I need to highlight a few items that weren't too good. The Ika Karage which is the deep fried squid tentacles, it was a bit too chewy, overcooked. Gyu tataki, which is the beef tataki, is a bit too dry. For the mains dishes, We ordered the large sashimi, and it was a good serving. We also ordered the tempura combination. We also ordered the shared dish: the sukiyaki and Yosenabe. The general concentration sukiyaki is the favourite of all as it's very flavourful and the serving is very generous. Yosenabe is a bit too blend to our preference. We didn't get to try the dessert as we were too full.
