Kirchberghäuschen - Bensheim

There are various ways to go up the hill close to the city centre. Plenty of seeting outside with breathtaking views across the town to the Rhine and beyond. The place is well known for the fantastic fruit wines and local cuisine. It is somehow...self service, but all goes very fast, including the tasty food. Fantastic for families or groups. Great to walk back to town through the vineyards with the beautiful views

Wonderful hill restaurant close to the town Bensheim in the vineyard "Kalkgasse and Kirchberg". Best view over the vineyard to the town and to the Region "Rheinebene". Very tasty regional Odenwald meal and regional wine. Good start Point for Walking tours to the Odenwald and...to other vineyards

Nice hike from Bensheim Gronau up the Kirchberg. Nice vineyards setting with good selections wine. Little pricey for the area..

This restaurant is located in the forest on top of the hill with a spectacular view over Bensheim and the wine grapes. The food is good, not too expensive and very German! In the summer you can eat outside

A fabulous view over Bensheim! The terrible organisation for ordering drinks food makes this a place to avoid when busy. After Queuing for mins to place an order you receive drinks a ticket to hand to the food service counter.. The big...problem being that it took an hour to get to the front of the food queue. One of our party was missing from the table for an hour whilst waiting in this crazy line! The food is basic and not worth the wait. A whole new system needs to be implemented to stop the needless frustration. On a positive the federweisser was excellent just a shame we had drink it all without the Zwiebelkuchen to accompany it! Such a shame our sunny afternoon was ruined by bad organisation
