We ordered a large order for Christmas day. The food was so good. Everyone kept asking where we got it from. The food was so fresh and everyone had at least a 3rd platter. Thank you so much for making our Christmas extra tasty. View all feedback.
What Omar doesn't like about Hong Kong Star Noodle House:
Terrible food. Stopped in for the first time today and the place still looks like the covid days with tables lined up. I leave with my food back to work only to open it and find this dry tasteless sesame chicken and flavorless fried rice. The chicken was very tough, stringy and super dry. Had to throw it View all feedback.
The wonton soup was gross. A large wonton soup came with about 5 noodles and they were so over boiled there wasn't much noodle left.
The menu for this place was put on my door 2 weeks ago and I decided to try it with the family. When I ordered the food it was more expensive than what the menu stated because the raised the prices. Should have been the red flag for me not to order but I did anyway. My order was supposed to arrive in 45min and didn't come for 1hr 30min (2nd red flag). Then the food arrived it was disgusting!!! We ordered the wonton soup which the wonton looked smashed in the soup. The seafood lo mien which was dry, 3 pineapple pork fried rice which the kids said was just whatever, the dumplings were burnt, the egg rolls are tiny and the general tso chicken combo was horrible. Besides the small portion, the chicken was just sitting in a pool of greasy oil. Needless to say i had the throw it out. When I called to complain they lady told me that the chicken wasn't sitting in oil but it was general tso sauce. She proceeded to tell me that that was the top selling dish and dismissed my complaints without even an apology. I will never be eating at this place again, not even if it was FREE!!! This place should be shut down
Food is always great, never had a bad experience from this place.
Boneless spareribs and pork fried rice are recommended. The ribs always come with a lot of sauce and are usually very tender.
I think this place is great for something quick. Service and food timing was great. I ordered the boneless spareribs. Now everyone like there food different ways. I ordered it well done. There was a bunch of fat on my spare ribs the sauce was to sweet and watery for me but the rice was great. Price a bit higher then I am used to paying. But this is Philadelphia so prices are higher here. I threw away more fat then I had meat.
