Came when it was Hansel Gretal and can confirm the food now is just as good. Had lunch then a walk and back for pancakes. Lovely. Tip for getting there if coming from Lagos, head to Bensafrim first. Drive through the village and you’ll come across a sign to turn left for the reservoir Barragem da bravura. If you follow that road you’ll find the cafe easily. What J K doesn't like about Edesta S Fabíola Hart:
A tip for the cook: Your onions were not cut finely enough and not fried gently and slowly. They were large chunks and glassy. After all this is the all important basis for your boemboe and can 't be done in a rush! Not convinced about how authentic the large amount of celery stick and bacon used in the nassi and bami goreng. Leeks are a better choice. Full marks for smiles! View all feedback.
Hansel and Gretel was very good but it is now been closed over a year, there is still something there but it has not been open when we visited.
I have been coming to the Algarve for many years and visiting the Hello Goodbye many times. I was present with others when Linda g and her partner was at the hello goodbye restaurant. I have to say I was ashamed to be British. They were bullying the poor waitress over a few cents mistake, I felt I had to hang around because of there unacceptable behaviour towards her. On this occasion the bad attitude was very much coming from Lind G.

Haensel Gretel has a new owner and is called now HELLO GOODBYE. Iive just 5 mls away and go there after fishing at the lake for a drink or to eat. The dam is perfect in summer to go for a swim without hundreds of people aside you and has very nice and warm water...not as cold as the freezing atlantic ocean! Also very nice just to go for a walk or have a picnic. The restaurant is serving very good food, the service is best ! around Lagos you will not find a better one. They have many nice snacks as well as complete full course food, all prepared nice and fresh and also some kind of tasty asian kitchen. The prices are a vit above the normal portuguese level, but still on a normal level. If you see what you get its still fair. But remember they close quite early,17.00
Now renamed HelloGoodbye. Open only for lunch but very very good food. We had Sate and then went back the following weekend for Nasi Goreng. Lovely location with walks around the reservoir.
