Any doubts wer... read more We stumbled upon this restaurant when the weather was cold and cloudy, so we went for a trip to Denia and needed somewhere for lunch. What a joy! Any doubts were dashed when I spotted their chilled cabinet, as the steaks and meats on show...were superb. We ordered two starters and a main course each, as there were three of us including one who is gluten intolerant; it was lunchtime as well. The service was impeccable, from the waiter, the owner and everyone else who came to see how we were progressing with our meal not intrusive, just genuinely interested in how we were getting on. This place was the highlight of our holiday in the mountains behind Altea, perhaps equaled by the octopus we ate in the restaurant in Barcelona. When you consider the knowledge, the service, the presentation and the view of Calpe Casa Canto is nothing short of superb.
