Huckleberry's - Benicia

Wait a long time. Order and wait was long. The food was average. Sad, because I really wanted to like it here. Decor is fun. Average prices for these days.

Usually I love this place. Today I was seared at 11:32, at 12:56 I left without being served yet. I was told there was a big party eating and this was why my food was taking forever. I feel that 1.5 hours was too long to wait for my lunch. The "large "party should have been more than served as it was only about 10 people. Many tables were waiting just to have their tables cleared or to get a check. When I tried to speak to the MOD, II didn 't appreciate her rolling her eyes and talking over me. She never acknowledged that I had already sat there for 1.5 hours. When she left my table, she would have served better as the manager on duty if she had helped to clear tables when she passed them. They continued to seat people who were not being served.

We went to Huckleberry's to celebrate some birthdays in the family. I had never been there before. Now I can't wait to go back again! The staff was great, the food was amazing and the restaurant is kept up very nicely. After entering the restaurant we were greeted by a staff member and then we were taken to our seats. Like I said I had never been here before but once I saw that items on the menu I could not wait to try everything. We were given enough time to look over the menu while we waited for our lovely server. There were lots of different items and combination items to choose from. It was great. I chose waffles, eggs, sausage and red potatoes. I took my waffles with huckleberry topping. Which had me making noises while I was eating. I also had a huckleberry mimosa which was also amazing. Most of my family had the waffles but combined them with food like ham and bacon. The kids menu was good too. Also since three people in our party had birthdays they gave us birthday treats. Lastly, the set up of the restaurant, I really liked. The entrance has it's own space and the tables are behind that. The restaurant has a lot of space. Seating from other tables was separate. You couldn't even see the other people eating from the booth I was in. It felt very private and safe from others. All in all we had a great time and we can't wait to go back again.

I like Huckleberries. Yes, it is clean, the decor is whimsical, and the service is wonderful. I really like the food. You can order a really great meal or you can order a proper meal. I love it! I can get what I want, it's satisfying and I don't let myself feel excessively full. The prices are also correct.

Well we went for the mocha we had heard so much about. The machine was broken. We ordered a split order of crapes with a tiny chicken sausage patty. 55 minutes later I went to see how much longer. Another 10 minutes and we were late for an appointment . So I got cold crepes, greasy patty. And an hour wait. Not going there again
