Been last 3 times visiting benicassim on business . Always top draw . As with all tapas style eateries it’s best to go with a few people to try many dishes as all are different . I would say the knock out dish this visit was the omelette incredible Michelin style and the chocolate tort and ice cream . Great wines decor . All my Spanish friends who live here say it’s not the best in benicassim , it’s the best in castellon ! I always try my Spanish with the owners when in rome etc !
This is one of my favorite restaurantes in Benicassim. Call ahead and reserve a table because very popular with locals. The food is perfect, the service is better and you can not leave this place unhappy.
I came across this restaurant purely by chance, as I was sheltering from the rain and they invited me in. I had a cafe con leche and straight away there was a good feel about the place. Manilo served me with a delightful cup of coffee. Guests were just walking out of this eatery and I asked them would they recommend this restaurant. They did and I certainly was not disappointed. So I booked. Unbelievable! The best lobster I have ever tasted with fidua (sorry about spelling but it is the pasta version of paella). Beautiful dessert too and good wine. Manila is so on the ball. Attention to detail and has trained his staff so well. What can I say A Fabulous Restaurant for which I thank you. Will book again before I go home.
Eating at Ciento 2 is an experience. From the moment we entered, everything was perfect: cosy, rustic-chic décor, elegant music (think Norah Jones, Melody Gardot), attentive staff, and of course, exquisite food and wine. A haven of quality and good taste in a world where such things are hard to come by. 20/10.
We booked a reservation online, but could not see much on the menu. When we arrived the staff were very impatient to take our order but on the menu appeared to just be standard tapas for astronomical prices and tiny portions based on what we could see others eating. In the end knowing we came with an appetite we chose to just have our drinks (which they charged us $2.70 for tap water) along with nightclub prices for a glass of house wine. Once the bill came the owner was very rude to my wife saying as soon as the payment went through now’s a good time to leave. Looking now at other reviews it’s clear we made the right choice and not an experience for us to then pay hundreds of euros just to be left hungry, dissatisfied and treated poorly.
