We started with the Mushroom Cappuccino, which is a Mushroom soup made with four types of mushrooms and herbs, with a hint of Shitake flavor. The Zucchini soup is also a must-try. The toast with fresh whole wheat bread and Hummus was mesmerizing. The Mushroom Hummus toast and Chicken Hummus toast were both delicious. The Royyala nallakaram, a prawn dish cooked with black pepper, was mouthwatering. The shrimp cocktail and chickpea cocktail were both balanced and tasty appetizers. The baked potatoes spiced up with red chillies and herbs were perfect for the winter. The Balanced plate concept offers a variety of dishes in just one plate. The Kichdi was delicious with Paanch phoran and palak. The green eggs coated with pesto and served with baked potatoes and grilled vegetables were also excellent. Meat lovers would enjoy the Chicken Thai Curry and the Steamed Chicken with Shitake mushrooms. The Hebenero grilled chicken with pesto pasta was a favorite. The English Roast Chicken, marinated with spices and served with mushrooms and baked potatoes, was the star of the day. For desserts, the brownies were the best we've ever had. The orange cheesecake, coffee, raspberry, and double chocolate were also delicious. The pure Arabica coffee was excellent, giving a kick of filter coffee even in the Cappuccino. Cheers to an excellent dining experience at this restaurant.

The extensive main course menu offers a wide variety of options, all served perfectly and packed with nutrition. This restaurant is now on my list of favorites. If you haven't already, I recommend giving it a try.
This cafe is truly unique compared to other dining establishments. True to its name, The Balanced Plate is a collaboration between two friends - one a food enthusiast and the other a nutritionist. The result? Balance! Before diving into the food, let's talk about the location and atmosphere. Situated on a bustling street in Banashankari, the cafe is easily accessible from the main road. Parking can be a challenge, but if you're lucky, you may snag a spot right in front of the cafe. The cozy space can accommodate around 30 patrons. Upon entering, you'll notice a merchandise wall where you can purchase their fresh preservative-free sauces, as well as a tempting display of desserts. The menu offers a variety of options from soups, salads, starters, main courses, balanced plates, desserts, coffee, and more. I highly recommend the Roasted Pumpkin Salad for its delicious taste and incredible in-house peanut butter dressing. The Hummus with whole wheat pita bread was also a standout starter - the pita was unbelievably soft. When it comes to main courses, the Balanced Plates are a must-try as they provide a mix of carbs and proteins. I opted for the Grilled Chicken Breast, Peri Peri Chicken, Roast Chicken, and Grilled Prawns - all perfectly balanced and colorful. Despite trying multiple dishes, I didn't feel overly full at the end of the meal, yet I wasn't hungry either. The desserts, including the Peanut Butter Brownie, Chocolate Rocks, and Lime Almond Cake, were sugar-free and preservative-free yet still delicious. And don't forget to sample their Bold Cappuccino. The friendly chat with the owners and the valuable advice from the nutritionist made the experience even more worthwhile. I left realizing the importance of maintaining a healthy diet. A visit to The Balanced Plate may just change your perspective on food and health. Be sure to follow Platewithflavours on Instagram for more information.

Visit this cafe in Banashankari, and your nutrition needs are sorted. This small cafe in Banashankari offers food which is not only nutritious but also fresh tasty. From salads to their mains, every dish is packed with the right nutrient requirements. I found out about this place through a friend, and visited here on a weekday for lunch. The mushroom cappuccino zucchini soup was the best I have had till now. Starters were interesting, of which, hummus with whole wheat pita was a fresh dish to start with. The other starter was baked potatoes with spicy groundnuts, which was over in seconds. Dal khichdi was the best of all dishes i had, something that is a MUST HAVE here. From their Balanced Dishes menu, I ordered for a Chettinad Paneer with Basmati rice grilled vegetables; fresh paneer with Chettinad spices served with Basmati rice fresh vegetables. All these were perfectly cooked and spiced. The brownies here were a pure bliss to dessert lovers. Walnut brownies were my favourite among the lot. I did have a bite of orange cheesecake brownies, orange cheesecake white chocolate raspberry cheesecake as well. MUST HAVE DISHES HERE: Balanced plates, mushroom cappuccino, chickpeas cocktail, brownies. Do order from Zomato, Swiggy Dunzo as well. An overall 5 on 5 for this place.
This cute little cafe serves the most scrumptious dishes that are both healthy and tasty. The place has a very rejuvenating vibe to it. Having both, a grassy outdoor seating and a classy indoor seating, the ambience hits its peak with artistically painted walls, swings, book shelves and health hacks painted all along. The food there is a perfect balance of nutrition and taste. I had ordered the Mushroom Cappuccino. It was a rich and creamy concoction of three different mushrooms, Shiitake, Porcini Button mushrooms. Next up, their baked potatoes were topped with crunchy and spicy Congress Peanuts, that took the dish to another level.
