I was really shocked bec... read more Wondering if there has been a change in management or staff recently because we just had the saddest experience here yesterday evening. I was really shocked because I 've been here several times before and was always happy. I can 't even attribute it to the crowd because the place was at less than 40% capacity. Other than the front desk staff who promptly greeted us and showed us to our table, we were completely ignored by staff for most of the evening. The ginger dragon cocktail was a room temperature lemonade with a green chili in it and no discernible alcohol at all. Servers weren 't able to recommend anything to us when we asked for suggestions. Our lobster was left at a side table with dirty dishes for 20 minutes before someone realised it was our order when we checked why our food was taking so long, and then they came and left it at our table without any apology, and it was completely cold and rubbery. Gyoza was served without any sauces at all and again was completely cold and hard. Nobody filled our glasses or served us our food or asked if everything was ok. My partner asked the server if there were any mocktails that were less sugary, and the server simply said no. everything is sugary only before just walking away. We were genuinely shocked. I mean we 're not the kind of argumentative customers who like to pick fights. We were being as quiet, polite and patient as we could but it was quite humiliating to be treated this way when we were just looking to spend a pleasant Easter evening at a place we used to like. Please note that we 're being extremely fair. Shiro is still as beautiful as it always was, clean, classy and a solid menu (in theory) but we have had better asian food from roadside takeaway joints than what we were served yesterday. We ended up leaving after our third disappointing rubbery appetizer and promptly went to another restaurant to finish our dinner. No idea what went wrong here.
