Been to many Indians around this area and they have been disappointing lacking flavor and quite often expensive. So I thought I try this Indian travelling from Leigh on sea to pick it which gave us a 15% discount on menu prices. Thought we would just order basic food. Because if they can't cook the basics then why pay for expensive specials if they taste no good. But we were so surprised. The lamb biryani had so much flavour the lamb was tasty. The bombay potatoes were so tasty. The lamb vindaloo was spicey but had so much flavour unlike alot of Indian takeaway where they just poor chilli powder in to make it a very hot tasteless dish. The pilau rice was cooked very well. The vegetable curry served with the biryani was full of flavor and not sloppy. The bread was delightful.. So all in all have I found the gem. Will be going back and trying some chefs specials. Thank you for a lovely full of flavor takeaway. And I might add the pictures are ok are takeaway we also had 2 papadums. 2 chapatis and 1 peshwan nann. £27.85.cant complain.

Food was delicious, very good indeed. Great flavours, fresh and not too oily like some Indian takeaways. This was our first time at Mayflower, can't wait to eat from here again!!!!! Not to happy with the chapat... read more With my partner ordered from the set price menu, two courses. The food was of a good quality, really liked the bhindi (okra) bhaji. Not to happy with the chapati, it reminded me of a tortilla, perhaps it's the way the chef prepares them. Overall a good experience.
