Mayflower Indian - BENFLEET

No longer the mayflower Indian restaurant, its under new management as a Bangladesh restaurant, wild ducks. Second night so a lot of learning on the job...... Food ok, tasty , with different foid offerings but rookie errors ie. Music to loud, Food not served at once, cold plates , lights very bright so lacking ambiance. However, staff welcomed feedback so hopefully improvements will take place . Pricing very reasonable in these inflationary times, sizzling wild duck and chicken Kathmandu particularly tasty. Will be back.

We visited as a family of 4 at 8pm on Friday night and the restaurant was not at all busy; three other tables. There was no sign of any staff when we walked in and after 5 mins a grumpy waiter appeared and we were seated. This waiter was very disinterested all evening. A second waiter appeared a bit later who was very cheerful and really lovely. Eventually we got our drinks and placed our orders. The dips that came with our poppadoms were freezing cold!!!! That’s a first!! And they were not good!!! The food, when it arrived, was tasty and hot but VERY salty! The grumpy waiter really spoiled things for us and was very slow to do anything at all considering how quiet the restaurant was.

I ordered my food by phone to pick up,the service was ****,had to wait half an hour for my takeaway and on returning home half of my order was missing,i rang and was told they would try and get it to me,2hours passe an d by now i had eaten something else,so not only out of pocket but no meal,totally unnacceptable will not be returning to this establishment again,warning check your food before leaving

Really enjoyed my food and it was a very reasonable meal. What spoiled the meal was that the waiters kept bringing our order out a couple of plates at a time. The restaurant was not busy in the slightest yet, from my rice and main meal coming out I had to wait 10 minutes before my side and breads were brought out. I had to leave my dinner to get cold whilst I waited for the rest of the meal as I wanted my side and bread to be eaten with my meal, not after. It also took a long time to get our waiter to take our order. Unfortunately this has been the case other times we have been in the past.

Got discount on delivery so great value. Got lamb madras. Everything super delicious. Lamb so soft. Sauce full of fresh ingredients. I'm going to go back soon.
