Yes, the service can be a bit slow, but we expect that, so we relax and enjoy the view from the deck while sipping on a beer. I recommend going early. We've never had a bad experience here, except for that one time when I was little and was terrified by the animal head with glowing eyes on the wall! It's nestled deep in the heart of the forest, so I'm not sure what some people expect from the reviews. At least they have a flush toilet; our cabin has an outhouse. We visited about a month ago and it was quite busy with tourists looking for moose. I can’t wait to go back for some amazing chicken wings!

The owner screamed at the staff and dropped the F bomb infront of a child definitely not a family friendly environment.
