Was Anonym at Mick's Fish a mag?
We tried a few fish and chip places around Bendigo before settling on Mick's for consistent fresh fish and crispy chips with the specially yummy salt. Your choice of fish and, if you desire, a couple of fried dimsims, a scallop and a potato cake. As a treat for two by Lake Weroona or around the table at home it is hard go past. View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Mick's Fish:
Meal for . Paid and missing dim sims . Potatoes must be expensive in Bendigo only a few for people. Do not recommend at all. Second bad experience never again. Rip off View all feedback.

Great fish and service. Plenty of outdoor seating or take it across to Lake Weeroona. Worth the visit.

Sunny day, fresh fish shop selling fish and chips across from a lake, hunger strikes. its the perfect solution. For $10 got a lunch pack of Blue Grenadier, potato cake, crunchy chips, lemon wedge, tartare sauce and a can of soft drink. Sat on the grass and watched the world go by. The fish and chips would have to be the freshest in Bendigo.Im hooked!

Our family dined at this restaurant for the second time. We stopped by for a mid-week lunch during the school holidays. The service was quick and our order was exactly what we asked for. The prices are reasonable for the high quality and fresh seafood they offer. We ordered a Seafood Pack for 2, a Fish pack, and a few extras. I was impressed by the fact that the raw fish is taken from the display cabinet and battered just before frying. However, I prefer a thicker, crunchier crust on my fish, which can be achieved with a double-dipped fillet. My family, on the other hand, prefers the single dip method used here. The fish was great but the chips were slightly undercooked. The fried dim sims and potato cakes were mediocre at best. The "small serve" of chips was actually quite generous and we couldn't finish them all. There are tables and shaded areas available next to the off-street car park, but we decided to enjoy our meal across the road at a picnic bench with beautiful views of Lake Weeroona. I was disappointed that they did not have pickled onions, and when I inquired, I was told by the friendly girl behind the counter that they never have them because their menu is different from other fish and chip shops. Sorry, but not stocking pickled onions doesn't make you different, even though your quality is high. Your offerings are pretty much the same as any other fish and chip shop in Australia.

The fish and chips were absolutely delicious. The young waitresses were hard at work, serving a constant flow of customers. They were fast, efficient, and very polite - their boss should be very proud of them. Thank you girls for a wonderful dinner.
