The service was quick and our order was... read more Our family dined at this restaurant for the second time. We stopped by for a mid-week lunch during the school holidays. The service was quick and our order was exactly what we asked for. The prices are reasonable for the high quality and fresh seafood they offer. We ordered a Seafood Pack for 2, a Fish pack, and a few extras. I was impressed by the fact that the raw fish is taken from the display cabinet and battered just before frying. However, I prefer a thicker, crunchier crust on my fish, which can be achieved with a double-dipped fillet. My family, on the other hand, prefers the single dip method used here. The fish was great but the chips were slightly undercooked. The fried dim sims and potato cakes were mediocre at best. The "small serve" of chips was actually quite generous and we couldn't finish them all. There are tables and shaded areas available next to the off-street car park, but we decided to enjoy our meal across the road at a picnic bench with beautiful views of Lake Weeroona. I was disappointed that they did not have pickled onions, and when I inquired, I was told by the friendly girl behind the counter that they never have them because their menu is different from other fish and chip shops. Sorry, but not stocking pickled onions doesn't make you different, even though your quality is high. Your offerings are pretty much the same as any other fish and chip shop in Australia.

I entered the store and ordered a fish pack... clearly as photographed) it's However,...I asked the fish to be swapped out for gummy... she said that's an extra dollar... I agreed, although I thought it was odd because there is only a difference between the two fish on the menu. I get home and charged to my card is I am guessing the is a fee for their EFTPOS of which I am okay with... what I am NOT okay with is the overcharge. For a meal that should have been charged at again ass per the menu board photographed) ... I was charged The real shame here is the meal was really good. The fish was tasty, the chips were tasty... it was beautifully presented.
