Taco Salsa - Bend
Taco Salsa
Description
This Oregon-based Mexican restaurant serves up a diverse range of offerings, leaving diners with mixed impressions. The horchata and breakfast burritos consistently win praise, while the carne asada tacos are juicy, though some find the guacamole underwhelming, resembling a flavorless salsa. The chips occasionally taste rancid, and food served in styrofoam can detract from the experience. However, standout dishes like the al pastor tacos and decadent flan provide redeeming qualities. While many vibrant options entice cravings, guests may want to tread carefully with selections to ensure a satisfactory dining experience.

The drinks were fantastic, I would definitely order the horchata again. However, I felt like I overpaid for the mediocre guacamole. It was too soupy and more like a salsa, lacking flavor.
The carne asada tacos were tasty, but the guacamole was disappointing. It lacked avocado chunks and flavor, resembling more of a salsa with mashed avocado. Even after adding salt and lime, it didn't improve much. The chips tasted of rancid fryer oil. Additionally, everything was served in styrofoam, which melted from the hot food sides that came with the tacos. I won't be ordering regular food here again. However, their breakfast burritos are delicious.
The pork al pastor tacos are fantastic! They are very flavorful with a nice char on the pork. I just wish there was a bit more pineapple. Don't overlook the flan, it is one of the best I've ever had. It is very rich and creamy with a generous slice size.
I'm from Cali, and came here because I was wanting tacos at 130am like any Mexican would. Let me tell you. They came through !! The tacos here are nice and juicy. The enchiladas are even better. I had the shredded beef. They come with shredded onions and peppers. You won't be disappointed
