The Firebox Pizzeria - Belvidere

I was eager to try this restaurant after hearing positive reviews. However, my experience during dinner tonight was disappointing. We received our appetizers and pizza before our drinks, which was frustrating. The Crab Rangoons were overcooked to the point of being burnt, but the Mac and Cheese bites were delicious. I inquired about our drinks three times at the bar and was met with attitude and told to return to my table. After about 40 minutes, our drinks finally arrived, but they were not what we ordered. I requested to speak with a manager, and the woman who assisted me was genuinely apologetic and offered a refund for the drinks. While the pizza was tasty, the service left much to be desired. I appreciated the manager's sincerity, especially since she had just started her shift, but overall, I don't plan to return.

I visited this restaurant for lunch with my husband. We ordered the shrimp tempura roll, fried gyoza, pepperoni pizza, and Buffalo chicken mac. Everything was delicious!

The food quality and service were satisfactory, but there wasn’t anything particularly impressive. My son ordered the small pepperoni pizza, while I opted for the large buffalo chicken pizza. Both were enjoyable, and we managed to finish them.

We arrived later than we had planned to dine at this restaurant after a long day of traveling for a wedding across several states. Despite the late hour, they welcomed us and served us a fantastic meal. We truly appreciate their patience and understanding. Thank you once again!

This is a fantastic spot! The staff is friendly, and the food is excellent. It's the perfect casual place for after-work gatherings. The upstairs area is particularly great!
