U Livanti - Belvédère-Campomoro

Long long wait… wait 30 min someone to notice me, however at 14:40 I was annouced the cuisine is closed, so had to eat only panini. Nice view, but still I don’t like french people.

Took a table and ordered coffee, and wanted to eat a bit after that. When drinking coffee, we were ordered to another table because of an apparent reservation. That turned out to be three man playing cards. Then wanted to order a meal, but we would have to move to another table a few meters away because we were sitting at a bigger table. Which was ordered by them. No meal unless we would move again. We did move, back to te car.

Terrible food and service! Waited 1 hour for cold panini sandwiches. Rude people that work there. I grew up in the restaurant business and know from experience this place should be avoided at all costs? !

We were there in July, had breakfast, lunch and dinner there for a week and never had the bad experiences some people mention in the reviews. Must have been our luck! All staff were friendly, easygoing and helpful, and did their service with a smile. Food was good (although we missed the starters) and the dishes well presented and tasteful and not too expensive (low to midrange prices). View is great of course, the surroundings really help the restaurant. Favourite dish of mine is the 'seiche en sauce rouge ' and as a dessert the 'café gourmand '. One last word on the breakfast: breakfast is basic (scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, breakfast cereals, orange juice), and at 12 euros not cheap, but it saves you the trouble of preparing it yourself.

The place has the scenery which gives them the guests. The chef is good making dishes looking good. But the taste is fine not more vs the expensive price of the place. Good salad. The pizza are simply not at the level of any other places we have been on the island. The pizza dought was really bad. The sad thing is the unorganised, ineffective and to time rude and uninterested service that makes the whole experience not worth a recommandation. We were recommended the other place Lecci in the area as much better but did not try it. We probably should have!
