The staff is great, and it is a fun place to hang out and drink while eating something delicious food. The fact that they make up their own hours, however, is quite annoying. They show up and find out that they closed two hours early because they were not busy enough. What User doesn't like about Lakes Region Casino:
Very large facility that uses only a small fraction of its space. The bar is the hidden gem though, great food. The house takes a large share of tournament money and their tables are very aged. Most places have a screen above roulette showing prior numbers etc. This place is in need of serious updates. View all feedback.
The Lakes Region Casino is the best time we ever had at a casino! We've been to all the big casinos around New England but nothing compares to the personal touch and friendly faces of LRC. Want to play black Jack? They'll send over your own personal dealer. How about roulette? They're just waiting to spin that wheel for you. Sick of the crowds? Relax into the dead mall ambiance of the empty lobby. Sure, MGM and Foxwoods have more options. But if you want farm fresh, good home cooked gambling, this is your place. We will definitely be back to see the upcoming renovations! Eleven stars!
Great place Renovations ongoing and it's looking better and better. Watched 2 people win $4100. And $6500.00 on the new HHR slot machines. Great Job Friendly and helpful staff.
Sad place! Overpriced beer and soda! Kitchen closed when we were there. No bathrooms in the casino area and not handicapped accessible
Went there for the first time since the remodel and my friends and I had a blast playing roulette. Ken and Ed were fun dealers and with a full table and pretty good luck we had a lot of fun. The actual bar is good as well and our bartender Jess was very nice and made good conversation. She was also very attentive when we were actually gaming, which is important to me and made it so we could stay at the table.
Has a lot of potential, definitely used to be better than it is now. They book great entertainment for the lounge/bar but the bar itself is pretty much terrible. Very unorganized as far as floor space with tables, service is slow at best unless you know the bar tenders, if you don't they will skip over you. You will be thirsty. I have gone here and spent a lot here many times for many years but I am no longer going to continue to go here.
