Golden Pagoda - Bellville

Most troubling of all is how much the ambiance has suffered. I’ve had dates here, engaged in important conversations, and celebrated pivotal moments in my life, and a major part of what made those experiences memorable was the restaurant's former atmosphere. I fondly recall the beautiful red lacquered chairs, the glass dividers that showcased cranes, carp, and other symbols of Chinese art, and the exquisite china we used during our meals. Even the scent of the detergent used for the red cloth napkins they discarded ages ago lingers in my mind. All of that is now gone. Some elements remain, such as the Buddha statue and the grand carved mural of a qilin, but the split-level design has disappeared, along with the glass partitions and the red lacquered chairs. The buffet now feels out of place with its stark modern white decor. We now eat from plain white bowls and plates. Despite this, I still recommend you visit; the food is wonderful, and the prices are reasonable. The staff remains friendly and genuinely deserving of our patronage. I will continue to dine here, but out of respect for my cherished memories, I think I’ll be opting for takeout for quite a while.

They recently renovated the place and introduced a buffet. The food is just as excellent as before—everything was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be returning soon!

I live in Houston, and I would be willing to drive out here every single day for the incredible food. I had the largest plate I've ever seen for under $20, and it was served quickly. Seriously, you all need to check this place out!

Lunch is $10.50 for a special. The food is always really hot and fresh. We eat here 2 times a month when passing through.

Very friendly service and food is always excellent especially the plum ribs, wonton soup and jalapeno chicken dish. Parking: Parking is shared with a bank and several other businesses. There are two marked handicap parking space in front of Glen Pagoda. Kid-friendliness: There are sitting accommodations for families and large groups. Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp at the handicap spaces and a ramp inside the restaurant to additional sitting.
