Al Borgo - BELLUNO

We couldn’t make a reservation because we don’t speak Italian and they didn’t have servers who speak German/English. We said we don’t mind and can use google translate but they still refused to make a reservation. Very weird especially for a guesthouse. Update after answer owner: We called with the restaurant and they literally said to us you can’t make a reservation because you don’t speak Italian and our waiters who work tonight only speak Italian. So that was the reason they gave us and nothing about fully booked etcetera.

One of the best restaurants i have been to. Everything was perfect: the location, the service, the food, the atmosphere. Very gentle waiter met us and escorted to the table. He was very attentive during all our staying in the restaurant. We ordered risotto with mushrooms, cold cuts, baked cheese with polenta and meet with truffles it was all delicious! We were happy to have found this restaurant and now it is one of my favourite!

Old villa outside of Belluno with a beautiful garden. We were very happy with the appetizers (carpaccio, rolled rabbit), not so much with the mains (kid goat, duck, the first being a bit too tough and the other almost inedible). Service was good and so was the wine selection including from Veneto. This place is recommended by Michelin, so not cheap.

From the appetizer (do not call simple sandwich) to dessert (which I did not photograph from the service to the deficiencies that have addressed us! from the dish of our tradition to innovative cuisine. a varied menu that everyone likes. I brought three Florentine friends and enjoyed all the food you choose. a bottle of prosecco, a bottle of good cabernet, 4 appetizers, 3 first and 1 second, 2 sweets, 3 barricades. total 160 with also discount location has its historicity, intimate and with a beautiful outdoor garden. recommended recommended
