Update: It seems there has been a complete change in staff, and possibly ownership as well. The food remains excellent, although the reception was a bit lukewarm; however, the overall service was pleasant. What User doesn't like about The 3rd Rail And Grille:
The server recommended the Reuben egg rolls, but they felt greasy and were soaked in oil, making them messy to eat. The beef inside was tough and fatty—definitely not enjoyable. I had high hopes for the burger, which they promote with a selection of premium meats, but it turned out to be frozen and very dry. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. This cozy bar and barbecue located on Petit Avenue in Bellmore, NY, is a fantastic spot that never disappoints. Conveniently situated next to the Bellmore movie theater, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a meal before or after a film. I highly recommend trying the spinach salad!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Pete, the owner, is not only a fantastic chef but also a remarkable host! Every dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The salad was as fresh as the burger, and the wings were juicy and incredible. It's definitely worth a visit, especially since you can conveniently arrive by train, as it is located right across the tracks. If you're looking for a nice local atmosphere, it's a must-visit for a meal, or just to relax with a drink at the bar. The service was friendly, too!
It's a great place to hang out with friends for a delicious meal and a good time, but it might not be ideal for a date, especially on busier nights due to the lively atmosphere. Live music is frequently performed here, and while the quality can vary, it usually adds to the ambiance. Overall, it's a fantastic spot to check out in Bellmore!

I spoke with one of the musicians to express my appreciation for their performance and mentioned the volume issue. I didn’t want to interrupt, but I can’t help but think others might feel the same way.
