Taqueria Tecalitlan - Bellingham

Ok... First I read the reviews to see how other felt... Companies to other Mexican restaurant and what I seeing is most people are used to big Mexican food chain taste but I have to say this is the closest to my grandmothers home cooking I have had since she past away!!! I have eaten at many Mexican food places from one side of wa to the other and many in between and I have to say I was pretty impressed!!! The beans were spot on rice was tasty I had 5 lengua (tongue) tacos my husband had 2 beef tacos and a pork tamale... Prices were better than el cazadors and it wasn't canned beans!!! I definitely recomend this place!!! The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is always room for improvement plus once they get a few more item on the menu I feel they could be stellar!!!

The Tecalitlan truck is my favorite taco truck in the county. I'm glad I was finally able to make it to their taqueria. Both are owned by the family of one of my former students. <br/ <br/ The menu is basically the truck menu, plus a few items. I got a pork burrito. It was delicious, flavorful as always. The hot sauce was very hot. I feel like the truck often has shredded cabbage in the burritos, but I might be mistaken. In any case, just meat, beans, rice, and a few jalapeños in this burrito, and they do it right. <br/ <br/ Truck convenient to work, taqueria convenient to home--Tecalitlan has me covered.

Best taco truck near the multiplex! 'Course, it 's not a taco truck, but the limited menu is more like a truck 's selection. On my recent visit, after 4 p.m., half of the items were out, paper covering them just as david mentioned in his review two years ago! I was on the way to a movie, so I only had two chicken tacos, which were good; nice sauce, good amount of onion, cilantro, good texture and taste to the meat. Small tacos, no chips included, but a tasty quick snack before a flick. Don 't know if you could have a good dinner here, but for a quick bite, it 's the best Mexican in the Barkley/Sunset area.

Not Open: Thanks very much!!. The hours show open on Tuesday on this site, not open this Tuesday night. Great food, we know the trucks are closed on Tuesday but come on guys, My wife and kid drove across town to get the goods. Fast service with excellent prices! Food is very good and good amount of meat in both my tacos and torta. I'm used to lettuce in my torta but this one had cabbage which was surprisingly better! Never had it like that before but I liked it. No cheese in the torta but that's ok with me.
