One of the better Thai restaurants in a town with a lot of them. We got take out most recently: Pad Thai and Emperor’s Cashew Chicken. Both were delicious and fast and piping hot when we got them home to eat 30 minutes later. The Pad Thai was especially good and was a HUGE portion a full, square take out plate/container of noodles and chicken AND a cup of white rice shoved in there, too. We will order take out from h... What ch769 doesn't like about Brown's:
Trying to support local businesses with orders for pickup. Hadnt been here in awhile due to bad service. In these times thought id give them benefit of doubt. Rude, poor customer service on phone. Done with them forever. I'll drive across town to people who care about having business. View all feedback.
I 'd avoid this restaurant. They are so cheap they won 't even fix it when they give you the wrong order. Rude, poor customer service. Messed up my order, didn 't offer to remake it or give me a refund. So I 'm stuck with something I did not order. Apparently all they can do is offer 50% off the next entree. This effectively means that I would have to give them more money to get the right order! That is unheard of I have never experienced a restaurant not making it right when they straight up give you the wrong order. Dominique who took the order originally and answered when I called back was pretty rude, hung up on me and I had to call back, and didn 't even try to apologize. She was full of attitude, snippy, and said verbatim, well do you want the 50% off or not? That 's all we can do .
While we didn't get the full experience of dining in (and the dining room atmosphere looked nice), we tried takeout and were underwhelmed. We are pretty picky about our Thai food expectations, and as is so often the case, our dishes were only mediocre. Overall, the flavor was too bland and too sweet, from the dessert-like peanut sauce on our chicken satay skewers (which were tasty but overdone) to the sugary-tasting pad thai and green curry with tofu. I was worried the minimum 2-star spice level on the curry would be too hot, but it was very mild. The food here seems made with an American palate in mind. In addition, it's expensive compared to other Thai restaurants I frequent that are better quality. On the upside, quantities were very generous, brown rice was an option at no additional surcharge, and takeout containers were compostable.
I ordered food to take home for dinner last week. I found service is unfreindly. The food was very average. I am not planning on coming back.
