Great food! Employees spent a lot of time looking for the guests around the restaurant when food was ready. I recommend getting a system to call/text the guest's phone when their food is ready!

The food is delicious, but there is a limited selection compared to the Avenue Bread on James St. the Fairhaven location is also smaller and not as family-friendly. There are more older folks, and you have to get your own drinks and food at the counter. The vibe felt snobby.

I almost got Subway for lunch today, but I changed my mind and decided to drive a bit farther to Avenue Bread. I'm so happy I did. This sandwich was amazing! The bread was soft, but still with a good chew, and all the other ingredients tasted so fresh. The pesto spread was generously applied, and the sprouts added such a good textural element.

You sort of expect a basic sandwich on sourdough to be pretty tasty from a place with the word Bread right there in the name. Unfortunately the sandwiches suffer from a pretty high bread-to-filling ratio, and the bread itself is on the dry side (maybe, even a little stale? Maybe I 've been ruined by Old World Deli using Breadfarm bread? The Eggenues are always a treat, though.
