Big family party with many kids, probably not the best idea to sit older couples around them. Not a serene romantic environment like we hoped for. Manager did apologize and offer to move us , but we were nearly done and didn’t want to switch at that point. Guessing the Hostess who sat us prior to the party didn’t take that into consideration. What chuck doesn't like about Novilhos Brazilian SteakHouse - Bellevue:
Plenty of meat for hungry carnivores. Pretty good at bringing plenty, not so good on quality. One small serving of filet mignon was excellent, as was about a third of the other meats. The other 2/3 ranged from too salty to excessively salty. If you like well done there’s plenty of that they just give you the ends (which are usually the saltiest) but if you like rare that’s quite a bit harder to get. Still and all, if... Excellent selection of beers, reliably delicious food and great service. If you don't have a reservation, it's usually easy to secure a seat at the bar for a full dining service. A neighborhood favorite.
Whoa. Yellowtail tasted way too "fishy" and the so-called pastrami shortribs were greasy pastrami. Both were $ 30. Robbery. We gave our feedback to the bartender (we were sitting at the bar) and he made no effort to "get it right". I will not be back. The dining room was nice ... parking was awful in the neighborhood.
The drinks were good. Menu is limited. One person did not like the pork. The other thought the pastrami ribs were fat and of no value. The burger was good. Though very energetic, it's not really a place for $ 30 starters - much looser. Stick with the burger and a cocktail or beer.
