I love everything about Copper Fire. They’re constantly improving and experimenting with new ideas. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is always cheerful and eager to serve. The live bands are always entertaining. It’s a true staple of the Downtown Belleville scene.
The food was amazing, but the service was rather slow. I had difficulty figuring out who the staff members were. Although casual attire is fine for the employees, wearing name tags would be a nice touch. The live music was also a lovely addition!
We decided to try this restaurant for the first time last night. There was a sign that said "seat yourself," and even though there was ample indoor seating available, my husband and I chose to sit on the empty patio. They gladly accommodated our choice. We could still hear and enjoy the live music coming from inside. Our server was friendly, and we were very satisfied with the service we received. The food was fantastic! We began with the house dry rub wings, which were delicious. My husband loved his meatball sandwich and couldn't stop raving about the sweet potato fries. I had the short rib sandwich with a house salad on the side, and it was outstanding. My husband also sampled one of their signature cocktails, which he found delightful. We will definitely be back!
The waitress was wonderful and attentive, and when she checked in on us, I expressed my concerns. By then, I had already eaten half of my sandwich, which was lacking in substance. She kindly brought me more tomato, but I had nearly finished by the time it arrived. Additionally, the bacon was chewy instead of crispy, which is a must for a proper BLT. She did offer us a different batch of fries, which were much better. I also ordered the Gloria, but all I could taste was the blue curaçao. With a total bill of $54, I expected higher quality. This used to be my favorite spot for delicious paninis, but after trying a few more dishes, I'm uncertain about what to think now.
